New Ideas

Holiday Dessert and Champagne Reception-

Set up a beautiful display of holiday cookies and desserts and serve with the best champagne you can buy. The options are endless. You can shop at your favorite bakery, bake yourself or ask for help from friends and family. You can even do a beautiful theme here. Serve all white coated desserts and cookies or match colors to your colors.

Dear Cheap Chic Weddings,

I am recently engaged but have not set a date yet. We know we want to get married some time at the end of 2006. One of our ideas is to set the date for Thanksgiving Day because most of our family is here anyway and we will spend the holiday together so we figured we could make it a double celebration. What do you think?

Dear Jasmin,

Congratulations on your engagement! There are some definite benifits on planning a Thanksgiving wedding. The menu is easy (traditional turkey dinner) and this is probably the cheapest day to pick to get married because it is the least busy wedding day. It's especially nice that your family can be together for this double celebration.

On the other hand, you may invite friends that won't not be able to attend because they have family commitments on this day. If this is not an issue then you have picked a perfect wedding day.

Best Regards,

Love It.........Hate It

Love It:

Holiday wreaths on chair backs.

Bouttoniers made from Holly sprigs with berries.

More glamorous and dramatic makeup and hair for holiday weddings.

Hate It:

There's nothing to hate about holiday weddings.

Ipod music for your reception-

Ipods are all the rage and you can use one for your reception or party. Simply create a playlist(s) in the order you would like your favorite songs to be played, then find a DJ, a student or a friend to monitor the Ipod and speaker hook up.

Now join hands, and with your hands your hearts.
