Money Saving tip

Make your own Truffle Favors! It's so easy and inexpensive!

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 3 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips, melted 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla until no streaks remain. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Shape into 1 inch balls.

Roll truffles in ground walnuts (or any ground nuts), cocoa, coconut, confectioners' sugar, candy sprinkles, etc.

New Ideas

Coordinating your cake with small cakes used for favors. Make a cupcake in silicon liners or with no liners as you would a regular cake. They pop right out of a silicon liner. Either way allows you to ice the whole thing without all the crumbs. Reverse the colors that are on the wedding cake for the small cakes and this makes for a very cute favor.

Dear LeeAnn,

My brother asked me to be a groomsmen at his wedding. Do I pay for my tuxedo or does the groom?

Dear Jason,

Customarily, attendants pay for their own wedding clothing. Luckily, you can usually get a group rate if all the men rent their tuxes at the same formalwear store. Sometimes the groom will pick up the tab for the tuxedos as his gift to you….but if not, you have to shell out the dough for your own tux.

Warm Regards,

Love It.........Hate It

Love It:

  • Using potted flowers for your centerpieces. Go green and save money and the earth.
  • Using beautiful fruit in bowls as centerpieces. Apples, Pears, Pumpkins, Squash, Pomegranates or gourds are pretty used alone or mixed. This is inexpensive too.
  • Using herbs mixed into your bouquet. Better with flowers that don't have a strong fragrance.

Hate It:

  • Wedding stress. Take time for yourself. Do a little meditation or take a walk daily. Take care of yourself first!

We love They have live evergreen tree seedling favors that are environmentally and earth friendly. What great favors for good prices and what a great way to keep us green. Go to the site and see everything they have to offer. CHECK IT OUT.
