Money Saving tip

Now is the time to get super savvy and save while shopping for vendors. Don’t be afraid to NEGOTIATE! Many vendors are willing to negotiate now to drum up business. Be sure to do your homework, plan your budget, and ask about hidden costs/fees.

New Ideas

Ruffles will continue to add that romantic touch to everything. Belted dresses are everywhere too. Belts with bows, beads, and color are hot on wedding gowns as well as bridesmaid’s dresses. If wearing a veil is not your thing, check out beautifully decorated hair combs. They come in tons of shapes and sizes and add high glamour to your do on the big day. We’ve been seeing lots of bling and feathers and flower motifs on hair combs!

Q&A

Dear Lee Ann,

Our wedding is coming up and we will have 52 guests. We are cutting corners wherever we can. We cannot afford to have an open bar but would like to offer our guests something nice at the bar. How can we save and still offer great drinks.

Sincerely,

Katie

Dear Katie,

Congratulation on your upcoming wedding! A great alternative to a full bar is to offer beer, wine and one signature drink or punch!

We find that this combination satisfies most adults. Don’t forget to have soft drinks or a non-alcoholic punch available for the teetotalers and kids!

Best of Luck to you and your Groom!

Lee Ann

Love It!

Love It!:

*We love the hot new colors for fall/winter. Look for gorgeous shades of purple, deep reds, burnt sienna, and olive.

We still love these CCW “Classic Tips”…

*Host your wedding at a friend’s or family member’s home. This could save you a bundle.

*If you are buying flowers for your wedding, save by purchasing in-season locally grown flowers!

*Use pretty potted flowers as centerpieces. Great for the pocketbook and planet earth…they can be planted later!

*Put together your own candy bar. Buy inexpensive glass jars of varying sizes and fill with your favorite candies.

*Cupcakes are still ultra popular. Try some classic flavors like Red Velvet, German Chocolate or Devil’s Food. Make a small cake for the bride and groom to cut!
