Aluminum Cans

Basically everyone drinks soda now and the price of aluminum cans is higher than ever... where I'm from it goes for about $0.50 a pound... I know that doesn't sound like much but it adds up fast... about $100 a truck load and if you ask family and friends to save up... especially if your young and still in college (beer cans) you can make a lot of free money!

I am doing the same thing. I walk my dog everyday and pick up aluminum cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles. I turn in the recyclables and with the money earned, I deposit it into a savings account.

Saving money and the earth!! What a great idea! Newspapers are also REALLY easy to collect from friends and family, and my city (Denver, CO) used to pay about $20 per truckload, and $.05 per aluminum can. Most people are HAPPY to give you their recycling as long as you'll pick it up!
