Discover Great Cheap Wedding Favors

Cheap wedding favors can be made simply and beautifully, and are a great way to say thank you to your guests for attending your wedding!

Cheap wedding favors ideas..

  • Small flower arrangements at each place setting can double as wedding favors and table decorations. Artificial flowers will work, but we prefer live. Buy containers like vases, terracotta pots, or mason jars at thrift stores and dollar stores, and they don't have to match. Crafty? paint, etch, or monogram container of your choice.
  • Make candles out of seashells, awesome for a beach wedding! Melt beeswax, but don't get it too hot. Pour it into the shell and add a wick. Purchase candle supplies and shells at your local craft store, or online. If you live near the sea, collect shells yourself.
  • Plain Candles matching the theme of your wedding (we prefer unscented) are great for cheap wedding favors. Wrap in tulle, burlap, sheer fabric, or ribbon. Add a small flower, monogrammed sticker, or tag. Buy the candles, candle holders, ribbons and supplies at stores like Dollar Tree, they've got great ideas, and even free downloads for wedding favor projects!

  • Tree seedlings, and custom seed packets are great for outdoor celebrations! Decorate white or brown paper bags by painting or stamping. Wrap your tree in burlap, tulle, raffia, or ribbon, and add decorative tag. Look online for green wedding favors and kits for tree seedlings and seed packets..inexpensive and easy!
  • Small frames to be used by guests later, can also serve as place cards, or to hold a message from the bride and groom.
  • Make wine glass markers from wire and beads. Look for  instructions at your local bead store, craft store, or online. Place in a small box and tie with ribbon.
  • Make a sachet filled with lavender. Sew up three sides, add lavender, and sew up fourth side. Attach a small silk flower. Potpourris in drawstring bags made of lace, organza or tulle are pretty, and smell nice too. You can use any kind of material that's cheap and easy to work with. Bags are also available in craft stores and online, and not too expensive.
  • Everybody loves fresh herbs! Buy small ones and place plastic container right into a small terracotta pot. Put some moss around the top to disguise the plastic planter. Include a pretty tag with instructions for care and attach to a ribbon tied around the pot.
  • Strawberry plants, succulents, and lucky bamboo are just a few beautiful live wedding favor ideas. They can be presented in the same way as an herb. Containers like burlap bags, galvanized cans will work too. Make a magnetic wall garden favor using a magnetic tin (from craft store), paint if you like, cut acrylic lid in half (for watering), add air plant and small rocks. Adorable gift for plant lovers!
  • Candies; Personalized M&Ms in your wedding colors, Hershey Kisses or Hugs, mints, or chocolate all look great in cupcake liners. Old fashioned divinity fudge, handmade candy, or cake pops makes delicious, cheap wedding favors. Tip-candy can melt, so consider the weather if you're going to be in the heat. Wrap in tulle and tie with ribbon. Add a tag; make it yourself (look for tag templates online), with a little message like "Love is divine". Punch hole if you're tying with ribbon or string.

If your wedding has a theme, incorporate materials, colors, flavors, and designs to carry throughout your theme. For example, use fall wedding favors for an autumn inspired reception.
