Make it easy for guests to send you their photos of your wedding

At the reception, I plan to have a few blank CDs, each in a stiff mailer, already addressed to me and with the proper amount of posteage on it. I'll encourage those taking photos with their own camera to take one, burn the pics on the CD, and drop it in the mail to me. People are busy. By taking some of the legwork out of this for each of them, I am hoping to get more of those folks to actually send me the photos. Email is okay, but if they took more than 5 or 6 photos, and you want high enough resolution to be able to print them, then emailing all of them is going to be a hassle for both senders and recipient.
I'll let you know after the wedding how well this worked.

I think you're being way too optimistic. Yeah people are busy. So they're not going to upload all the photos to their computer, burn a CD, address and mail it. They might make it to step 1, but after that I doubt it.

Another thing you can do, instead of just CDs, you can have USB ports (the little keychain sized data storage keys) personalized and those are even more useful, because of their reusability. The data keys can be mailed to you with hundreds of photos on them, and you can return them to your guests as a gift to keep after you download the pics. Also, if you have a wedding website, you can have them upload to your gallery there.
