My Pretty Cupcake Wedding Cakes

Since I knew I was going to be doing a lot of diy projects for my wedding I decided on cupcakes for my wedding cake. My mom and sister helped and it was actually quite easy. Pink was my wedding color. We made the cupcakes from a cake mix so it was super simple.

I also bought canned vanilla frosting and I mixed a little red food coloring in it to make it the perfect pink color Then to make the frosting smooth and glossy I dipped a long spatula into hot water and lightly smoothed the frosting. The hot water will slightly melt the frosting and give it a glossy coat. Just be sure to not use too much water or the frosting will run.

I bought the silver cupcake liners and decorated the tiered dish with roses and a little ribbon.

Everyone raved about how delicious and pretty they were!
