Save time and trouble

Cutting a wedding cake is very difficult if you don't know what you are doing, so I came up with the perfect idea to save some trouble.

For my wedding I am planning on decorating florists foam (which comes in many shapes and sizes) with fondant to look like a cake, and then I will serve cupcakes. That way, in the end, there is less waste eg. paper plates and forks and instead just the paper wrapper. To make it even better, each cupcake is already self contained and pre-portioned.

The best part is, you can satisfy multiple tastes and make multiple flavors. Not to mention the fact that you can freeze un-iced cupcakes for up to 1 month, so that way you can make them in smaller batches in advance.

Thanks for the idea about pre-making and freezing cupcakes. I wonder if they'd taste ok at my wedding, which is 40 days away & I just started planning it, but it would save time!
