Tax return!

We are saving our tax return money for our wedding in the summer.

We have three kids, so we get a hefty amount back and it should be enough to cover most of what we want to do!

My husband and I used our tax return to pay for our wedding also.

It comes at the perfect time of year, if you aren't trying to get a venue or some other service that requires deposits months in advance. We had an April wedding.

It paid for every single thing, although we did have a small wedding. Just close family.

Wedding reception was at a restaurant we chose. Pictures were taken in the park by a family member. We got married by a Justice of the Peace in a courthouse...perhaps my one regret.

But we were able to buy all of what we wore, dinner, rings, honeymoon vacation (in town B&B), and have some left over. Not bad!

Thank you so much for this idea!! I never even thought of it, and it is brilliant! We don't plan on having a big wedding, but we wanted a nice one and were struggling with how to find the funds. Our tax return would be able to pay for more than half.

Yeah I'm a photographer and I have a couple of clients who've asked me to wait until they get their tax return so they can pay the deposit.
