Help For Wedding Gift Ideas

Coming up with wedding gift ideas can sometimes be a challenge. After all, lots of gift giving goes on when a wedding is at hand.

There are the gifts the guests give to the bride and groom, gifts to wedding party attendants, and gifts exchanged between bride and groom.

Like we always say, saving money can involve being a little creative.

Here are some cheap wedding gift ideas for the bride and groom:

  • Money is a great gift and the couple has the luxury of spending it on whatever they like. The gift giver can give what is comfortable in their budget.
  • There are plenty of inexpensive gifts for those who love to cook or barbecue. You can purchase nice utensils and gadgets in any price range.
  • Do you have a good photo or several photos of the couple? Frame a nice photo for them or start a scrapbook/album for them with a few photos and their wedding invitation.
  • Is the happy couple starting a new home together? How about giving them a gift that lasts. Present them with some tree saplings for their yard. You'll be helping mother earth too!
  • Whether or not the bride and groom cook, it is always great to give a good cookbook. Try Robin Miller's Newlywed Cookbook (about $12) or Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything (about $30).
  • Wine is as hot as ever…Give the couple a nice bottle of winethat they might not buy for themselves. A $20 Bottle of wine is inexpensive as a gift but a big treat for most.
  • Many couples are starting their lives together with blended households. Giving a gift card to a store they like is a great gift too. You can give gift cards to Home Depot, Sears, Sporting Goods Stores, Gourmet Markets, Office Supply Stores and Linen Stores.
  • If you are a good cook or baker, make the couple some meals or baked goods for their freezer. They'll appreciate that when they return from their honeymoon.
  • On that same cooking note…Start a Recipe Box or Notebook for the newlyweds. Call family members and friends and compile their favorites.
  • A year's subscription to the couple's favorite magazine is a nice gift, especially to fit their specific interests.
  • You can design custom tote bags with the bride and grooms names on them and even embellish them with beads and sequins.

These are just a few good wedding gift ideas. We hope they give you some inspiration as you set out to find the perfect gift for the bride and groom.
