Tips For Easy Wedding Gift Registry

Don't get uptight about your wedding gift registry. Take it in stride, take your fiancé with you and go register for the things you need and want.

You really do need to go together because there will be things you both want and there could be something he thinks of that you don't.

Make it a day...go out for a pleasant meal when you are all done.

Some stores offer free products and discounts if you use their services, so check that out. It would be nice to get something for free. We all like that a lot.

It really is better to only use the wedding gift registries at the stores you absolutely love. There will be several stores that you do want to register at but that will be enough. It is okay to return things and if you have to you don't want to have to go to too many places.

It is a good idea to register for items in the price range that would be comfortable for the majority of your guests. They could range from $25 to $150.

I think 6 months would be time enough to register. It is fine for people to buy later so keep it open for awhile. Some people may not have the opportunity to purchase gifts beforehand but really want to get you a gift.

There are all kinds of wedding registry gifts. That would include honeymoon registries. It gives your guests a chance to contribute to your honeymoon if they like. If you register for a honeymoon don't forget airfare and tours have to be paid for in advance before you get the gifts. There is also a registry for the groom only with neat items just for men. It is called Themanregistry.com

Some of the stores that you can register at are:

  • Walmart

  • Kmart

  • Target

  • Home Depot

  • Lowes

  • J.C. Penney

  • Sears

  • Linens and Things

  • Amazon.com

  • Crate and Barrel

  • William Sonoma

While it may not have a registry, ABC Distributing might also have some good ideas to add to a gift list, in addition to many smaller, independent companies that offer gift ideas. So don't hesitate to look at all of the available options to you.

If you have a personal wedding website you can put your wedding gift registry on there. Its a great way to get the word around. Happy registering and good luck.
