You Can Make Great Wedding Keepsakes

Every Bride and Groom wants to hold onto wedding keepsakes forever.

You want these "things" to remember the most cherished day of your lives.

Like all of our suggestions, you must think ahead in order to keep costs down. You will probably want to save things from every aspect of the wedding, from planning to honeymoon. No matter how you later choose to save or display your wedding keepsakes, it is a good idea to save as much as possible.

There are so many possibilities in saving your wedding keepsakes. If you are thinking of saving items in a scrapbook, album, or in picture frames, you would definitely be looking to save "flat" things like postcards, matchbook covers, restaurant menus and photos, of course. These are wonderful items because they are either free or very inexpensive.

If you are saving "chunkier" items like hankies, hair decorations and such, they would look beautiful in a shadowbox or curio cabinet.

Are you or anyone you know into scrapbooking? If not, this might be a good time to start. Scrapbooking is huge and there are so many ways to display your keepsakes. There is some money to invest in scrapbooking, but there are some great websites with examples and templates.

Remember to start looking as early as possible for any wedding keepsakes that you may want to collect.

Here are some good examples...

  • Save any magazine clippings that you're using.
  • Print your vows and frame them later.
  • Save one wedding invitation for YOU.
  • Have a friend or family member assigned to save flower petals and press them for later.
  • Save lots of paper items from your honeymoon. Brochures, menus, hotel info are all great!
  • Don't forget to take lots of Photos every step of the way. Photos are still the best bargain when it comes to saving memories.

Like every other aspect of planning and enjoying your wedding, use your imagination and creativity to create wedding keepsakes that you will cherish forever.
