New Ideas

A great new idea is to BARTER. (actually bartering is a very old idea but is more cool than ever). You can save a ton of money even if you just barter one or two things for your wedding. Maybe you have something….or have a skill or talent you can trade with one of your wedding vendors. When I got married my father swapped a flower refrigerator (he was in the restaurant equipment business at the time) for quite a bit of services from a wedding planner. Be creative and don’t be afraid to ask! Think of the money you’ll save.

Dear Cheap-Chic-Weddings,

I am getting married for the second time. Is it okay to have my children give me away?

Dear Anna,

Absolutely. This is your day. Having your children participate in this special way is a beautiful gesture to start your new life as a family together.

What's Hot And Not

1 Dance lessons- be prepared for your first dance together.

2.Soft wavy romantic hair.

3.Sparkly hair scrunches to hold your BOUQUET.

1.White wedding shoes.

2.Severe stick straight hair on your wedding day.

3.Being stuck in an uncomfortable dress while dancing at your reception- it’s a long day/night, if you’re comfortable you’ll look prettier.

Chinese Slippers. We found these adorable little slippers at an accessories store. They are beaded ballet slippers and come in pretty pastel shades. They are perfect for the bride or bridesmaids. Best of all they are super comfortable and really cheap!

Marriage is not just spiritual communion…it is also remembering to take out the trash.
