We have a new page on our site that is dedicated to finding creative ways to help you get money for your wedding. We have researched some interesting ideas and come up with the best.

Some of the ideas may not be for everyone. But if you are looking to get some extra cash for your big day or your honeymoon or a new house….whatever your goal…we think you might benefit from the suggestions.

And if you have found some other creative ways to get money for your wedding that we haven’t mentioned on the page…drop us a line and let us know about it. We will share it with our readers. Check it out at Get Money For Your Wedding

Money Saving tip

Centerpiece Cakes! Making a wedding cake for each of your tables is a super money saving idea and decorating idea. You or a friend could even make the cakes yourself.

Use a mix and store-bought frosting. You can then add a few fresh edible flowers or decorative ribbon, fruit or order sugar flowers for decorations. (see our Review section)

It will save you a ton of cash on centerpiece flower arrangements and one big fancy wedding cake. Centerpiece cakes are also an excellent way to add variety to your wedding. Each one of your guest tables could even have a different flavor cake.

New Ideas

Red and pink are big for fall this year. And of course purple is back bigger than ever.

Also we are seeing a lot of “crumb catcher” style wedding dresses as well as asymmetrical gowns on the runway.

Dear LeeAnn,

I am always reading about girls in wedding parties having a spa day. I would love have a spa day with my bridesmaids, but I just cannot afford it. Do you have any ideas that could replace a spa day?

Hi Jennifer,

Congratulations on you’re your upcoming wedding. You are a thoughtful bride and it’s nice of you to think of your wedding party at this busy time. There are a few things you can do. The whole spa idea is about relaxation! Why not invite the girls over and give each other facials, manicures and pedicures. Make some snacks or girly sandwiches! Another idea is to have a movie day/night. Pop some popcorn, buy some candy, tell everyone to shut their phones off and enjoy a chick flick together! This can be done in your home or a friend’s home! Hope this helps!

Good Luck,

Love It!:

* Using seasonal decorative items can save you money. Use apples, pears, nuts, maple leaves, gourds and pumpkins. Natural accents always look terrific!

* Include comfort things in your fall wedding. We love serving warm apple cider at the reception. Spike it for the adults!

* Wrap Candy Corn in organza or glassine bags as favors.

We love sugar flowers. We found two sites that have nice looking sugar flowers at reasonable prices. Look around…you’ll find fall leaves, orchids, daisies…just about everything you can imagine. They are a great for do-it-yourself cakes that look totally professional.
