Money Saving Tips* When getting quotes from reception venues, bakeries, florists and other vendors, tell the manager that you're planning a party or an event, but leave out the word "wedding" and the price is often 25% to 30% cheaper.
* Have your reception at a restaurant. Many restaurants have tried to focus on special events, and many will hold private functions and do it for a reasonable price -- even if you rent the entire restaurant.
New IdeasPhoto booths are still a fun option, but there's a new booth in town gaining traction. "Slo-mo" booths record super slow-motion video of your guests letting loose with such props as silly string and confetti. Afterwards, you get a 3- to 5-minute montage video set to music.
(According to the Denver Post)
Our wedding party consists of 1 MOH, 1 bridesmaid, 1 best man, 3 groomsman, 1 flower girl, and 2 ring bearers. I'm lost when it comes to the bridal party dance. I thought about having everybody dance with their guest but not all the groomsman will have guest. I feel like skipping it or just having MOH and BM dance with us, I need some other ideas please?
You don't have to have a bridal party dance at all if you think it will be awkward. If you decide to do something, I think having just the Maid of Honor and Best Man take part would be the easiest for everyone and wouldn't cause anyone to feel uncomfortable for not having a date to the wedding.
Love It! Hate It!Love It!:
*Edible Favors! Instead of a trinket that not everyone will appreciate...giving something yummy is always a hit.
* Facebook engagement announcements Yes social media makes it easy to share your news in a millisecond. But it’s special news that deserves special treatment, right?
ReviewsWe love Ustream -- Stream your wedding live online so guests that can't attend can still watch the ceremony and be a part of the special day.
InspirationThere is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage.
